Thursday, Oct. 15, 9am. Come out to Lick Run Creek in lower Washington Park.
Meet Stormwater Manager, Ian Shaw, to ask questions about the new riparian buffer plants and trees along the creek. Find out about the ecology, history, maintenance and future flowers that could be added. Please invite a family member or neighborhood friend who has had concerns or questions. See you there!

To get ready to Light up Night in November, there are Lantern making workshops with artist, Jane Gabrielle. One hosted by Friends of Washington will be held at Hunt Manner Community Room, Oct 17th at 1 pm. Let us know if you and a friend can come!

Since 1837, The Caretaker’s Cottage has witnessed the course of labor from enslavement to today. The more family stories people collect, the more people honor the works of those ancestors. Thank you Friends, who walked in the Labor Day Parade today, and who volunteered to plant trees with One Valley and Shining Stars at the Villa Heights campus park. What a hot and full service day!!
