Today's theme for is
We challenge y'all to come up with an intriguing caption for this photo!

We are all about LIVING our history here at Mission San Luis.
This pic was taken in March 2019 at an event where our visitors time traveled to prepare for an expedition in 1702 -- and did activites throughout the site. The modern adventure was based on historical events when the English were threatening the Spanish capital of St. Augustine. There was a need to request soldiers and supplies from the French to defend St. Augustine's Castillo de San Marcos as well as the Apalachee Province. The soldier on the left portrayed a French ambassador from Fort Louis de La Louisiane (the French fort in Mobile, AL) and on the right was our Mission San Luis Spanish soldier.
