We’re so happy to welcome Deann Bishop, L.Ac. to The Calm Clinic!

Deann has been a licensed acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine practitioner for more than 25 years, with experience in both private and community acupuncture. She also serves as the Chinese Herbal Program Director and a lead faculty instructor at Lotus Professional College. We’re grateful to have her experience, warmth, and knowledge as part of the clinic!

This weekend was a special one 🌸

We had the privilege of training a new group of Auricular Acupuncture Technicians who are now ready to bring the 5 Needle Protocol into their own communities. It’s always inspiring to spend a weekend with people who care so deeply about making healing more accessible.

A huge thank you to Aztec Rental for sponsoring this training, and to Dr. Haley Parker from Virginia University of Integrative Medicine for co-training with us. We couldn’t have done it without your support!

Join us on Wednesday, August 12, from 4–6 PM at Melrose Library for free 5NP ear acupuncture and connections to local community resources. Drop in anytime to help calm your nervous system, take a moment for yourself, and connect with your community. No appointment is needed, and every body is welcome.

August 23 is looking pretty good 💃🏻🪩🕺🏽

The Reset Set is our biggest fundraiser of the year, so naturally we decided to shut down the street and throw a party. Live music from Phat Anchovies + Circus Child, acupuncture aboard Sue, a raffle, and an afternoon at Fork in the Alley with some of our favorite people.

Every ticket supports the work we do to make acupuncture more accessible throughout our community.

We’re opening the Calm Clinic to the community this Saturday + Sunday from 3–4 PM for FREE 5 Needle Protocol treatments provided by our AAT trainees!

Come one day or come both, bring a friend, relax for a bit, and help our trainees get some hands-on experience while they work toward bringing this care back into their own communities.
