It's hard to believe that our 2026 Rendezvous is over already!! It all happens so quickly! I will call it a success!!
It was so good to see everyone again, and so much fun meeting all of the new people! I can't begin to thank everyone individually who helped me so much. A very special Thank you to my Segundo, Angie Lehto, for helping me to pull together all of the last minute items and for talking me off the ledge more than once!! To all of my range officers, game organizers, registration personnel, roost servers, flag raisers, trash gatherers, dog soldiers, and my go'fers, thank you so, so much!! Without all of you, there would be no Rendezvous!!!
Thanks to Rocky Mountain Sports, Hi Mountain Seasoning, Cedar Bar and Woodward's Liquor for their generous donations! WyoToday did a fabulous job on all of all advertising needs! Randy Kinzler provided a very necessary service and is such a pleasure to work with. Josh Kirk surprised us with great entertainment! The Lander Pipe Band lead our group in as the opening ceremonies began, what a great honor to have such talent near by. Weaver Place Mountain Man Cafe cooking was a lifesaver!! I truly hope they comeback next year!
There is no way to thank the traders that donated so many fantastic prizes to our Rendezvous. I truly appreciate each and every one of you!! We had some very nice and more than generous donations this year!!
As you may have heard, we had a pretty devastating wind come through on Saturday afternoon. It did major damage to a couple of our traders and sent one to the hospital with a head injury. We appreciate how so many people jumped in to help gather Trader John's merchandise up, packed it up so neatly and quickly for him and helped him after his return from the hospital. It is amazing how people come together in times of need.
The list of Thank You's is never ending and I know I will miss someone that deserves to be recognized. Please know that I appreciate and love each and every one of you! I feel as though I made some new lifelong friends this year and that is the part I will cherish forever!!
I hope to see all of you again next year as I turn my duties as Booshway over to Angie Frederick Lehto. I hope I can help her as much as she did me! Love you all!! π Carrie "frankie " Gavin ππ πππππ
