Ned was a good friend to many and deeply loved his family. He will be greatly missed. Keeping Jeanie and the family in our thoughts during this time.

For those who may not have heard about this yet! This is going to be a fundraiser Rendezvous/Shoot for the victims of the Corndodger flash flood which wiped many camps completely out. Luckily no one lost their lives but many lost their livelihoods.
If anyone would like to make a contribution or donation please look for the contact information on their flyer.

Good morning everyone! I have received several calls this week asking about our Rendezvous this year.
I love that there has been so much interest shown and can't wait to see everyone!!
Please remember that the dates have changed this year. June 24-28 which is a week earlier than normal. Hoping not to interfere with everyone's 4th of July celebration!
We are opening early setup on Monday, June 22. There will be NO FEE for early setup.
We will have firewood available as well as potable water.
Opening ceremony will be Wednesday night. We are still working on the kitchen servers but the Roost will be open!

I AM SHARING THIS POST FROM ANOTHER RENDEZVOUS GROUP!! I THINK WE NEED TO REMEMBER THIS AND STRESS IT TO THE PUBLIC!

My 2 cents...

Newbys/beginners

I personally hate it when people say... "I can't go or start yet , I don't have everything right yet."

You DO NOT have to be 100% correct to start rendezvous.

Go - find more lenient or laid back events to get started with.

You don't need $500 in brain tanned buckskins your first event.

Trust me... one outfit, you can wear it for a couple days... NO one cares if you have same

clothes on for 3 days.

If you don't have a "smoke pole" yet... so - Go to rendezvous and shop there.

Don't have a tent... 99% of events have a modern camp/tent/rv area in the parking lot.

Make new friends and hang out at their camp during the day (go back to your modern tent to sleep at night)

You will be able to shop at the event for a tent while there.

GO!!!! Meet people, talk to people, shop for the "stuff" you need or want.

JUST GO!

and when or if someone tells you something you have is not right or 100% correct. Don't get mad. They are trying

to help you. They want to see you improve and get better and they know it may take you a little.

Truth is NOT everyone is going to be 100% HC or PC. Some don't want to be. Some are working on it and

some have had to back slide do to age and health issues.

But if you are NEW to rendezvous and or reenacting the fur trade, we love seeing you there and we love seeing

you improve. We want you to have fun, learn history and help us share it with others.

So GO!!! Get your butt there and get started!
