In partnership with International, Homes Not Borders is doing a workshop at Courage Together: An Evening of Arts and Culture Honoring Refugees and Displaced People, on Thursday June 18, 2026 in downtown Washington, DC.
Hosted by Refugees International as part of Refugee Week USA 2026, the event will feature arts workshops, performances by award-winning poets, musicians, and storytellers including Safia Elhillo, Maimouna “Mumu Fresh” Youssef, Emi Mahmoud, the Refugee Storytellers Collective, and more.
In a time when communities face growing challenges and refugee and humanitarian support systems are increasingly strained, we gather to honor the creativity and cultural expression of refugees and displaced people and to celebrate how their artistic voices shape and enrich our shared world.
