2026 Overall Contest Winners- Each exhibitor was required to compete in Herdsman Quiz, Sire Summary, Speech, Sales Talk, Judging, Photography or Graphic Design/Poster. We had 48 exhibitors who did this, and they all received a $50 check! Congratulations to all! We are very proud of you.

Now that the dust has settled for a few days, and we have the official photos, we'd like to recognize a great three days at the 29th Annual NE Jr. Beef Expo, located at Albion, NE. Thanks to everyone who helped to make it a success! The junior advisors worked very hard, the judges and volunteers for all contests were exceptional, the livestock judges and ring help were great, and of course, the exhibitors (kids) were the ones that were the rockstars! Thanks to the Boone County Fairgrounds for hosting us, and to Chuck Rolf, Boone County Agriculture & Education Center / Niewohner Arena who was great to work with. Year two at this facility allowed us to fine tune some things, and of course, changes can always be made, and we'll do our best to rectify or better some of the things that might not have worked as well. A special thanks to my husband, Jeff Duren, who helped me tag the stalls in the entire barn, and tore them down, and carried table after table without complaining, and just generally did anything we needed. We appreciate all exhibitors, parents, volunteers and judges. We look forward to June 4th-6th, 2027, in Albion, NE. Make sure to get your hotel booked now for 2027 at the Cardinal Inn, Albion, NE

We are getting started this morning with our 29th Annual NE JR BEEF EXPO in Albion, NE.
90 exhibitors and 140 head of cattle. Today is packed full of contests and team fitting. We'll have our meal and Supreme awards this evening at 6:30 pm.
