Glad to have Jaleigh Hallsted, Show Shotz Photography & Designz as our official photographer for 2026. It's great to see an alumnus of the NJBE come back and contribute to our juniors.

Pleased to be returning to this year’s Nebraska Junior Beef Expo in Albion, Nebraska next weekend! Looking forward to another great year of catching memories, celebrating exhibitors, and spending the weekend surrounded by some of the best people this industry has to offer. Grateful for the opportunity to be back!

Don't forget the NJBE scholarship deadline is today, Friday, May 29th.

Scholarship application forms are due by Friday, May 29th, 2026. Here is a link to the fillable .pdf form.
Application must be postmarked in the mail by Friday, May 29th, 2026. or you can email it directly to Diane Duren at [email protected], but it must be time stamped by midnight on Friday, May 29th, 2026. Please ask for a receipt if emailing and Diane will confirm receipt. It's best to email it as the USPS might not get it to me by next Friday, June 5th.

Today starts the "late entry phase" where entries are still accepted, but they are now $60/entry. Go online and enter your animals and enter the contests you plan to participate in. Remember, some breeds require contests on Saturday to show on Sunday. The link is provided here!

2nd notice....we posted info around May 21st, but here is another reminder for camping.

We currently have camper spots available with full-hookups available in the city park area! If you are interested, please text or call Diane Duren at 402-367-2272 to reserve a spot. $20/night. When you get there, please call the city clerk's office at 402-395-2055 to get your power box opened up and you pay them directly. Please do that by 5 PM on Friday. However, please do let me know if you're camping so we can keep track of how many campers are coming.

Don't forget, tomorrow, Thursday, May 28th is the last day for early entry fees! The price goes up on Friday, May 29th, to $60 / entry. All entries are only accepted online this year, so please make sure to get your entries in.

Additional tie-out information:
You can tie to your trailer and provide your own bedding if you didn't purchase premium tie outs. (No straw allowed and you must clean up your trailer area of bedding before leaving) We also have been notified that there are 9 - 12 x 24 tie-out pens north of the arena located just east of the outdoor rodeo arena. First come, first served, and you must provide your own bedding. Plus, there are more tie-outs available inside the outdoor rodeo arena, just provide your own bedding. Due to possible rain, there are no guarantees of how wet these pens will be.
There are also other "indoor" tie-out pens available in a stall barn, but these do cost, and you have to provide your own bedding, plus pull the bedding to the center of the barn when leaving on Sunday. $20/day. Contact Diane Duren at 402-367-2272, if you're interested in those. Do not leave a message on this post to reserve a tie-out.

Tonight at 8 PM the online sale closes!

We are having a fundraiser! We are going to auction off 18 premium tie-out areas directly south of the Niewohner Arena at the Boone County Fairgrounds. See below for the diagram of the tie-out, sizes and their location! Please consider supporting the NE Jr. Beef Expo with this fundraiser! Auction closes on Wednesday, May 27th at 8:00 PM. Any Simmental exhibitors who have a market animal or breeding heifer that can be nominated by the breeder, take note! Futurity forms are due by Thursday, May 28th! Get with your breeder and get the animal nominated so you're eligible to show that animal twice, and be eligible for jackpot money!
