𝗩𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀 (𝗩𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗣)

The House has passed H.R. 6644 — the Housing for the 21st Century Act, a bipartisan housing bill focused on streamlining and modernizing housing regulations, financing tools, and affordable housing options.

A key provision updates the standard 1003 mortgage loan application used by lenders across the country.

The military service question - “Did you (or your deceased spouse) ever serve, or are you currently serving, in the U.S. Armed Forces?” - will now include a VA loan disclosure reminder directly below it informing applicants they may qualify for a VA home loan benefit.

This update places VA loan awareness at the point of application, helping ensure veterans and surviving spouses are recognized early in the lending process and not overlooked.

𝗩𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗣 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗱𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 — 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

The bill now moves to the Senate for consideration.
