They say if you stand tall, you can reach the stars. We say if you walk with purpose, you can reach any goal: no one should face mental health challenges alone.

We are truly thankful for our community partners who are committed to our mission of Mental Health for All across Mississippi! đź’š

Our 2025 NAMIWalks season ends Giving Tuesday, December 2nd & we’re challenging generous friends like you to continue raising critical funds that will power NAMI’s efforts to be there, strong and ready to serve, not only for the 1 in 5 adults impacted directly by mental health conditions, but for the whole community!

For , take a moment to acknowledge how you feel, and learn (or be reminded of) some tools that can help you manage stressful factors in your life.

We are not always able to avoid stress - so effective management is critical for maintaining our mental health and wellbeing.

Remember: There is no one size fits all strategy to managing stress. Each person should identify which management tool works best for them.

Individuals and families affected by mental illness are often challenged by some serious faith questions. A place of worship is a safe space for people where they can feel welcomed and have a sense of support and community, but how they are treated within this environment is crucial to that feeling of security.

Faith and spirituality can be a very helpful component of someone’s recovery from mental illness and when a faith community pledges to be stigmafree, it makes a big difference! Thanks to Mount Nebo Baptist Church for a great time at NeboFest.

🌟 October is ADHD Awareness Month 🌟

Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is more than just being “distracted” or “hyper.” It’s a complex, neurodevelopmental condition that affects focus, impulse control, emotional regulation, and executive functioning.

Too often, ADHD is misunderstood, especially in adults. But with understanding, treatment, and support, people with ADHD can thrive in their strengths: creativity, passion, innovation, and resilience.

💙 This month, let’s raise awareness, break stigma, and celebrate neurodiversity.
Because ADHD doesn’t define someone—it’s just one part of who they are.

This Mental Illness Awareness Week, we’re celebrating the power of community — and the hope, strength, and support that come from it. Every mental health journey is unique, but when we come together and share our stories, we create safe spaces where people can talk openly about mental health.

Thank you to our 2025 NAMIWalks sponsors for reminding us that healing happens not in isolation, but in connection. Together, we can build stronger, more compassionate communities that care. đź’™
