Projectrest Project REST (Recharge, Enrich & Stabilize Together) is a monthly, day long, respite care program for adoptive families. Parents and children need a break!

ProjectREST is a respite care program for adoptive families. Three child welfare agencies collaborated (C2Adopt, Children’s Home Society and Virginia One Church One Child) to implement a program for group respite care led by professionals and trained volunteers who understand adoption and understand the behaviors of children with histories of trauma and separation. These collaborative organization

s, created a program that satisfies the unmet needs of adoptive parents and their children, who have unique challenges based on their early life experiences. ProjectREST is a sustained service under C2Adopt's Adoptive Family Preservation grant program in collaboration with UMFS. Events occur on the UMFS campus. If you need more information, would like to register your child OR are a community partner/sponsor or individual donor who would like to invest in this program – please contact Stacy Chizuk at [email protected]
