Rising litigation costs are making it harder for Virginia manufacturers to compete—and those costs don’t stop with businesses alone. They drive up prices, threaten jobs, and weaken Virginia’s overall business climate.

Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse's new economic impact report shows how an unbalanced legal system has real consequences for manufacturers, workers, and families across the Commonwealth. Protecting affordability and competitiveness means pushing back against policies that quietly increase costs and discourage investment.

State lawmakers are considering legislation that would effectively ban many common natural-gas appliances in Virginia.

HB 672 / SB 256 could force families to replace perfectly working appliances—costing up to $20,000 per household—while driving up prices and hurting Virginia manufacturers and jobs.

Your appliances shouldn’t be banned.
Your energy choices should stay yours.
