Little Hands Virginia

Little Hands Virginia Ensuring economically disadvantaged children in Central Virginia have essentials from birth to improve outcomes for life. Head to littlehandsva.org/drive.

Little Hands Virginia, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, provides essentials and a little extra love to children newborn to three years old in need in Central Virginia. Little Hands relies on big hearts in the community. Our organization collects new and gently-used items on an ongoing basis through regular donation hours, donation drives, and crowd sourcing. We also purchase needed items to keep our shelves

stocked. When a partner organization submits a request on behalf of a child, we bundle up the items and deliver directly to the family’s door using our incredible army of volunteers. For a list of items we accept and donation guidelines, visit littlehandsva.org/donateitems. Our hours and directions are available at littlehandsva.org/contact. Interested in holding a drive for Little Hands? Want to volunteer? Sign up today at littlehandsva.org/volunteer.

While most people start the week with a case of the Mondays, we’re instantly energized by our amazing volunteers—like Julie!

Julie joined Little Hands Virginia several years ago after searching for ways to help children in need. From packing orders to helping around the office, Julie’s care directly impacts kids across our community. Thank you for all you do, Julie!

Ready to make a difference too? Sign up to volunteer today at littlehandsva.org/volunteer.

Socks help to keep babies warm and protect their little toes, and we are so grateful to Hanes for their generous donation of socks for our individual request program. Even something as small as socks makes a huge difference for the families we serve! Thank you, Hanes!

Turning one is such a special milestone, and this incredible family chose to celebrate by giving back. Instead of gifts for their little one, they invited guests to bring donations for Little Hands Virginia. The diapers and toys they collected will be distributed to families in need throughout our community. Thank you for choosing to celebrate in this inspiring way!

At Little Hands, we are honored to be part of the ecosystem of support for families in need. Through our partnership with The Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU Family Resource Center, we ensure families experiencing challenges get the essential baby items they need, when they need them.

“We’re able to give out items our families do not have or even dream of having, like a stroller or bouncy chair,” shares Natasha Rivera, a Community Health Worker. One mom even gained a sense of independence after receiving a double stroller that allowed her to travel with her baby and toddler. “We’ve had moms cry because they’ve never had these items before,” Rivera adds.

Thank you to Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU Family Resource Center for the invaluable work they do in the community. We are so grateful for our partnership!

After meeting our Founder and Executive Director, Taylor, and learning about Little Hands' mission, Charlie decided he wanted to get involved. He became a delivery driver because the flexibility made it easy to fit volunteering into his life around his full time job and class schedule.

We're always in need to delivery drivers to bring orders to partners. Sign up to help today at littlehandsva.org/volunteer.

Community is at the heart of everything we do at Little Hands Virginia. We’re proud to partner with St. Joseph's Villa (Richmond, VA), an organization dedicated to supporting families through mental and behavioral health, education, and housing services.

Through our partnership, Little Hands helps stock the Flagler Housing and Homeless Services support closet with diapers, wipes, and other essentials, ensuring families get the help they need, when they need it.

We’re grateful for this partnership and the incredible impact St. Joseph’s Villa has on more than 1,000 families each year.

The women of Congregation Beth Ahabah were an absolute joy to welcome as volunteers! After hosting a diaper drive, they came ready to serve and jumped right into helping package diaper bank orders. Their generosity and hands-on support make a big difference for the families we serve. Thank you, Congregation Beth Ahabah!
