Little Hands Virginia, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, provides essentials and a little extra love to children newborn to three years old in need in Central Virginia. Little Hands relies on big hearts in the community. Our organization collects new and gently-used items on an ongoing basis through regular donation hours, donation drives, and crowd sourcing. We also purchase needed items to keep our shelves

stocked. When a partner organization submits a request on behalf of a child, we bundle up the items and deliver directly to the family’s door using our incredible army of volunteers. 1 in 2 families in our community struggle to afford diapers, putting babies at risk for rashes and infections. This October, Little Hands Virginia is on a mission to collect 400,000 diapers, and we need your help! We're looking for local businesses, community groups, and individuals to sign up to join this year's Big Diaper Drive. Host a drive your way: whether it’s for the whole month or just a one-hour drop-off event. Every diaper helps a local family thrive.

High school isn’t easy, and for some students, graduation can feel out of reach. Transportation issues, academic struggles, behavioral challenges, and the realities of teen parenthood can all stand in the way. That’s where our amazing partners at Communities in Schools Chesterfield come in. Their team helps students reach graduation day by providing mentorship, mental health resources, and individualized care.

Little Hands Virginia partners with Communities in Schools to provide diapers, wipes, and baby essentials to help lighten the load for teen parents.

“They’re so grateful to not have to worry about diapers and wipes. I try to provide enough for an entire month,” Stephanie shares.

When we empower teen moms to finish high school, we’re investing in brighter futures for their families. We’re proud to partner with Communities in Schools Chesterfield and be part of this ecosystem of support.
