East Coast Triathlon Festival | May 3, 2026 | 13+ / Adult Non-Draft & Draft Legal Races

The final races of the East Coast Triathlon Festival weekend were the 13+ / Adult Non-Draft Triathlon 🏊🏼‍♀️🚴🏼‍♂️🏃🏾‍♂️, Duathlon 🏃🏻‍♀️🚴🏻🏃🏻‍♂️, and Aquabike 🏊🏼‍♂️🚴🏼‍♀️ and the 13+ / Adult Draft-Legal Triathlon 🏊🏼‍♀️🚴🏼‍♂️🏃🏾‍♂️and Duathlon 🏃🏻‍♀️🚴🏻🏃🏻‍♂️

In the Non-Draft race, Brett Cavanaugh set the tone early with a strong swim and held the lead all the way to the finish. The women though put on the most impressive show taking 2nd (Michelle Christine) and 3rd (Brooke Kesler) overall behind Brett.

In the Draft-Legal race, Ty Garrett and Judson Schulz came out of the water behind the women's leader, Rachel Werking, but they gobbled up the gap quickly on the bike to start the run with the front pack. From there, they showed their run dominance to pull away and solidify 1-2 while Rachel held on for the women's top spot on the podium.
