A baby changes your life… but sometimes becoming a young mother can also feel overwhelming, isolating, and heavy.

That’s why Bending the Bars is hosting the Lullabies & Love Community Baby Shower for young mothers ages 25 and under 🤍

This isn’t just about gifts.
It’s about support.
It’s about community.
It’s about reminding young moms that they are NOT alone.

If you’re expecting, a new mom, or know a young mother who deserves some love and support, we want to connect with you.

✔️ Resources
✔️ Community support
✔️ Baby shower gifts
✔️ Encouragement
✔️ A safe and welcoming environment

Sometimes people don’t ask for help because they’re embarrassed or trying to “hold it together.” This is your reminder that there is absolutely nothing wrong with receiving support.

Join us for a powerful and purpose-driven Community Insight Think Tank Session, a space where your voice matters and help shape real change.

This interactive session invites community members, legislators, impacted individuals, advocates, and supporters to come together and openly share concerns, ideas, and solutions surrounding some of the most critical issues within our justice system and communities.

Let your concerns or interests be heard about:

Advocacy – Explore how we can collectively push for fairness, accountability, and second chances.

Re-entry – Discuss the challenges and opportunities facing returning citizens and how we can strengthen support systems.

Institutional Conditions – Share insight on the realities inside correctional facilities and identify areas for reform.

Juvenile & Emerging Adult Support – Help shape solutions that prevent system involvement and support youth impacted by incarceration.

Legislation – Engage in meaningful dialogue around current and future policies that impact our communities.

This session is more than a conversation, it’s a time to mingle with community and vendors, enjoy good food, receive goodies, and a collaborative effort to drive change, inform programming, and influence policy through lived experience and community voice. Whether you’re directly impacted, a family member, a professional, or a concerned citizen, your input is invaluable.

Come be heard. Come be part of the solution.

Did you know many employers can still legally deny you a job because of your record?

Not because you’re not qualified.
Not because you didn’t show up ready.
Not because you didn’t put in the work to change your life.

Just because of your past.

And let’s talk about it…
Some of these same companies will say they’re “felony friendly.”

They’ll hire you. Let you start working. Then the background check comes back… and suddenly you’re being let go.

Even when you already told them.
Even when you were upfront from day one.

So now you’re back at square one… again.

And people wonder why reentry is so hard.

This is the reality for a lot of returning citizens. And it’s exactly why real support, real opportunities, and real second chances matter.

We’ve got to do better.

If you are a TRUE, felony friendly employer, we’d love to add you to our resource list! Email [email protected] to become an employment referral partner.

There’s STILL time to get in the room tonight.

If getting your civil rights restored has been on your mind… this is your sign to stop putting it off.

I’m going live at 8PM EST on Zoom breaking down:
✔️ Who qualifies
✔️ What the process actually looks like
✔️ What documents you need
✔️ How to start moving forward the RIGHT way

This is information you NEED if you’re serious about getting your rights back and opening doors again.

Don’t sit on this.

We’re doing something special… and we need your help 🤍

We are hosting our Lullabies & Love Community Baby Shower for young mothers (25 and under) who could use a little extra support right now.

And listen… I know there are some moms out here doing their best, trying to figure it out, and just need a moment where someone pours into them.

So I’m asking:

Are YOU a young mom who could benefit from this?
Or do you know someone who should be there?

Nominate yourself or someone you love. Don’t overthink it.

This is about showing up for these moms, making sure they feel supported, seen, and celebrated… not stressed and alone.

We got them.

And if this doesn’t apply to you, share it. You never know who needs it.

Let’s take care of our community the right way 💛🖤

Nobody really talks about what happens after someone comes home…

Everyone says “do better”
But nobody hands them the tools to actually do it.

Imagine coming home and:
You can’t get hired because of your record
You don’t have stable housing
You don’t have transportation
You don’t even have the basic support to get back on your feet

Now add the pressure of trying not to mess up again… with no real help.

That’s the part people don’t see.

At Bending the Bars, we see it every day.
People who are genuinely trying… but are set up to struggle the moment they walk out.

And that’s exactly why we’re raising money through our ‘Sponsor a Second Chance’ campaign.

Because second chances don’t happen by accident… they happen with support.

Your donation helps us provide:
🖤 Real reentry support
💛 Job readiness and opportunities
🖤 Housing and transportation assistance
💛 Civil rights restoration

If you’ve ever believed that people deserve another shot… this is what that actually looks like.

Don’t just say it. Be a part of it.

At Bending the Bars, we don’t believe a mistake should follow someone for the rest of their life.

Every day, we meet people who did their time, did the work, and are really trying to move forward… but keep hitting walls because nobody ever showed them what their rights are or how to get them back.

So we’re doing something about it.

We’re hosting a FREE virtual class next Monday to walk you through the civil rights restoration process—step by step, no confusion.

Here’s what we’re getting into:
✔️ What it actually means to have your rights restored
✔️ Who qualifies here in Virginia
✔️ How to start the process the right way
✔️ Mistakes that will slow you down or get you denied
✔️ How this can open real doors—jobs, housing, opportunities

This isn’t just information.
This is about giving people a real chance to move differently and move forward.

We’re actively looking for felony-friendly employers.

Not just companies that say they support second chances…
but ones that are actually willing to give people an opportunity.

At Bending the Bars, we work with individuals who are ready to work, ready to grow, and ready to do things differently.

They just need someone to open the door.

If your business believes in building stronger communities, this is your chance to be a part of real change.

Because when one person gets hired…
it impacts their family, their future, and everything connected to them.
