Today is and the focus today is Making Mental Health & Well-Being for All a Global Priority.

I wish people knew that mental illness is not defeated by sheer willpower. I can't choose to get over it.

I also wish that more people understood that agoraphobia is not always to the extreme that is shown on television. Many people that struggle with agoraphobia can leave the house for certain places or under certain circumstances (like having a safe person with them). Many people can go anywhere, they just feel intense anxiety the entire time.
I used to think it was social anxiety. Social anxiety is the fear/anxiety of being judged or scrutinized by the people around you. Agoraphobia is more like the fear/anxiety of being away from your safe space.
