Adopt A Driveway- RC

Adopt A Driveway- RC We connect volunteers with those in need of assistance.

Although we trace our roots back to Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, this initiative is meant to spread cheerful service within the community.

Here we go again.

Volunteers keep an eye on the snow and shovel if needed.

I must've jinxed us. Winter is creeping back in on us here.

If we get any accumulation, volunteers please take care of your assigned driveways.

Anyone in need of help. Please fill out the request form.

On one hand, I'm a little sad our group only helped a few people so far.

On the other hand I am glad we haven't been hammered with snow.

02/23/2024

Ummmm... it appears to be snowing.

The advanced weather models we are using here at "Adopt a Driveway Weather Labs" has shown a less than 12% chance it sticks.

But if we are somehow wrong (impossible) then be ready my loyal band of volunteers.

02/15/2024

I am pleased to report all driveways are clear this morning. I'm not going to taunt Mother Nature....but nice try.

02/14/2024

Well it's been quiet and boy have we been thankful. But looks like Winter is coming back for a reunion tour.

Volunteers be ready to lend a helping hand. Those in need of help. Please submit your information and we can get you covered.

02/04/2024

My goal when creating this group was to keep driveways clean for people who need help.

Didn't think Mother Nature was going to make that such an easy task.

Please get on the list for volunteers. I'm sure we aren't going to keep being this lucky.

01/28/2024

Things have been quiet for weather and me posting stuff. But still gaining people in need steadily.

Can use more volunteers for the list, in case we do get more snow.

Tag, share, screenshot, print off and frame this... whatever you need to do. Let's get more helping hands.

Anyone want to get signed up before the next snowfall?

01/24/2024

Here are a few statements from some of our people in need. If you know anyone who is in a similar situation, are someone in this situation or want to volunteer to help out. Check out our page and sign up.

-Im disabled and cant get the end of my drive way plowed out everytime it snows. So I have to drive right through it and its hard on my truck.
-Had knee replacement surgery
-I was on my way to work this morning and an older woman was stuck in the driveway of this residence. It took me, her older grandson(I’m assuming) and a coworker that I called to push her out. They only had a plastic shovel that is now cracked. They mentioned that they just moved here and don’t have the proper snow removal equipment yet. The snow is THICK. It will require metal shovels
-My wife and I both have a cane for walking. My brother in law has asthma and COPD. I use oxygen.
-74 year old on o2 is physically unable to shovel
-Elderly, has mobility issues. Both ankles broken in car crash a few years ago and still cause pain
-Senior citizen with disability
