Meet Stephanie!

Please help us welcome Stephanie, who will be volunteering with After the Birthquake through the end of the year!

Stephanie is a mom of three, with children ages 18, 10, and 1, and is currently pursuing a degree in English Education. When she’s not busy with school and family, you can often find her enjoying the outdoors through hiking, camping, backpacking, and kayaking. She also loves reading, puzzles, and most of all, opportunities to connect with people in her community.

We’re so grateful that Stephanie chose to spend some of her time supporting After the Birthquake and our mission. We’re excited to have her with us!

We forgot to post a reminder about the awards nominations closing last night..

So we decided to keep them open through the weekend! It has been so amazing reading and learning about all of the nominees so far.

Today is NICU Staff Appreciation Day.

As the founder of After the Birthquake, and as a gestational carrier whose surrobabe spent time in the NICU after being born unexpectedly early, this day holds a special meaning for me.

The NICU experience can bring so much fear, uncertainty, and emotion. The staff who care for these tiny babies become such an important part of that experience. Not only for parents and families, but also for the people who carried them.

To every NICU nurse, doctor, respiratory therapist, social worker, therapist, and staff member: thank you for the care and compassion you give during some of the most uncertain moments a family can experience.

We had such a wonderful time at the Wausau Walk of Hope!

It was an honor to be there sharing more about After the Birthquake and how we support individuals navigating infertility here in North Central Wisconsin.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, introduced themselves, and trusted us with a little piece of their story. It was so meaningful to meet you, hear your experiences, and connect with so many wonderful people.

We also loved meeting other organizations doing meaningful work in our community.

There's something really special about coming together with others who understand the importance of connection, support, and making sure people don't have to navigate these experiences alone.

Thank you, Wausau, WI Walk of Hope, for having us! We're grateful to have been part of such a meaningful day.🧡
