Celebrating Culture, Identity, and Community

The Afghanistan Refugee Rescue Organization (ARRO) proudly recognizes and celebrates the Hazara Cultural Festival in the United States as a valuable opportunity to preserve and promote the rich heritage, traditions, language, art, and history of the Hazara community.

Events like these play an important role in helping younger generations maintain a strong connection to their cultural roots while also introducing the diverse cultural heritage of Afghanistan to the broader American society. They foster understanding, inclusion, and meaningful connections among different communities.

We believe that Afghanistan’s cultural diversity is one of its greatest strengths. Honoring the traditions and contributions of all Afghan communities helps promote unity, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence.

We extend our best wishes to the organizers, participants, and community members who make these celebrations possible, and we hope such gatherings continue to strengthen solidarity, cultural pride, and cooperation among Afghans around the world

Meeting with Congressional Office

The Afghanistan Refugee Rescue Organization (ARRO) held a meeting with Ms. Fatima Malik from the office of Congressman Walkinshaw.

During the meeting, key challenges facing Afghan refugees and asylum seekers were discussed, particularly the prolonged delays in immigration cases, widespread processing backlogs, and limited access to legal pathways.

The discussion also emphasized the importance of strong coordination and collaboration between civil society organizations, elected representatives, and the Afghan community in order to develop practical solutions to these challenges.

This meeting represents an important step toward strengthening advocacy efforts and amplifying the voices of the Afghan community at decision-making levels.

ARRO remains committed to continuing these engagements and advocating for the rights and dignity of Afghan refugees.
