Your enthusiasm for Brain Brawl practices, Marksmanship, and Drill always shone through, and you truly made an impact on everyone. This past Saturday, our cadets participated in the first-ever annual LAUSD Pass in Review, with all of LAUSD’s JROTCs and public service academies! The Pass in Review is a long honored military tradition where troops march in formation to show their proficiency and sharpness to a reviewing official.

The fierceless commitment to excellence of our cadets, commanded by C/Commander Adaliah Calderon, was evident at the Pass in Review as they made Reseda proud!

We had lots of fun and were joined by our PA () as we saw other hardworking JROTCs, Fire Academies, and Police Academies. This event was the last interservice meet of the school year and we are very grateful for everyone who showed up! We hope to see cadets participate in this honorable event next year.

Today, our cadets placed flags on top of veteran’s graves to honor their memory and to give thanks to their sacrifice.

Tomorrow we remember and honor the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Memorial Day began after the Civil War as a time to decorate the graves of the fallen soldiers with flowers. Families celebrate Memorial Day by gathering in cemeteries and placing flowers and flags for the fallen soldiers. Today people around the country will take a moment of silence to remember that it's the land of the free because of the brave.

Take a moment of silence at 3pm to honor those who have fallen for our country.
