Giddy up partners – as part of the City's annual Bike Challenge, the Maple Valley Police Department is hosting a rootin’, tootin’, wheel‑spinnin’ Bike Safety Rodeo, and your young buckaroos are invited to join the fun!
Saddle up and bring your mini cowboys and cowgirls to learn safe riding tips straight from Maple Valley Police Officers. Riders will practice bike skills, roll through fun stations, and learn how to stay safe on the trail and the open road – all while having a rip‑roarin’ good time.
📅 Sunday, August 30
⏰ 10:00–11:30am
📍 Lake Wilderness Park
💲 Free as an open prairie
🚲 Best for riders ages 2–8
The Rodeo is a perfect warm‑up for families planning to hang around for the Bike Challenge races happening that same day. Unlike the Rodeo, the Bike Challenge race requires pre‑registration, so families should mosey over to the website ahead of time to save their spot in the competition.
So dust off those helmets, tighten those boots, and mosey down to Lake Wilderness Park.
