When our students and families face unexpected challenges, the Principal Emergency Fund helps us step in, making sure every child has what they need to thrive at school. The family of a student managing Type 1 Diabetes was going through financial hardship, unable to reliably provide medically necessary supplies such as juice boxes, glucose tablets, or fruit snacks. The Principal Emergency Fund was used to maintain a steady supply of appropriate items at school, coordinated with the school nurse, so the student could participate safely and fully in every part of the school day.
