A law enforcement education and leadership program for youth ages 14–21, operated by the East Greenbush, North Greenbush, Schodack, and Rensselaer City Police Departments.

🚔 Cadet Training Night Recap 🚔

Tonight our cadets focused on handgun nomenclature and the safe handling of handguns. Safety, responsibility, and fundamentals are always our top priority.

Cadets were also issued their 3D-printed orange training guns to continue building their skills in a controlled and safe environment.

We’re still actively accepting new cadets as we continue to grow and ramp up our training program. If you’re interested in joining, send us a DM to connect with one of our recruiters!

Meet the Advisor 👮‍♂️

From dispatch to the streets—started behind the mic in 2021 and hit the road as an officer in 2023. Now holding it down on bike patrol, FARO certified, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes as the website guy.

Off duty? You’ll probably find him with his 9-month-old Golden Retriever, Tater 🐕 (his real partner), adding to his sports card collection, or locked in every Sunday cheering on the Giants.

Brains, hustle, and a little bit of dog hair—exactly the kind of leadership our cadets need. 💪

Please help us make someone's Christmas a little merrier by participating in a "Toy Drive By" at the Rensselaer Police Station!! Pull up in front of the PD between Noon and 3:00pm on December 20th with a new and unwrapped gift and an officer will drop it in the Toys for Tots donation box for you. Thank you!!!

Cadet Post 2010 – Meeting 3 Recap

The cadets continued their journey in professionalism and tactical readiness.

• Respect, bearing, posture, and communication
• Understanding how to represent the uniform with pride

🔹 Handcuffing Techniques
• First hands-on session
• Focus on safety, verbal commands, and controlled application

Our cadets continue to demonstrate discipline, teamwork, and steady progress each week. We’re proud of their commitment and growth.
