The 2026 Call for Proposals is now open for the Western Region Reentry Summit, taking place October 14–16, 2026, in Reno, Nevada.
The Western Region Reentry Summit is a solution-focused gathering dedicated to rebuilding opportunity, dignity, and equity for individuals returning to our communities after incarceration. The summit brings together returning citizens, service providers, policymakers, researchers, justice leaders, employers, and community advocates to engage in meaningful conversations and collaborative action.
Our mission is to break down systemic barriers, amplify the voices of justice-impacted individuals, and empower communities to create pathways of hope, opportunity, and transformation.
WRRS invites organizations and individuals from every segment of the field to submit a session proposal for the 2026 summit. Sessions may focus on real-world solutions and emerging practices in areas such as housing and transitional living, fair-chance employment, mental health and recovery, policy reform and expungement, peer-led support, system collaboration, and trauma-informed programming.
Proposals will be accepted through April 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern. Selected presenters will be notified by May 15, 2026.
If you know someone who would be a great fit to present, please feel free to forward this announcement to them. We are committed to ensuring a wide range of voices and perspectives are represented.
