Today, on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we join the world in honoring the memory of the six million Jews and the countless others who were persecuted, dehumanized, and murdered during the Holocaust.
This day marks the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau—one of the most infamous symbols of hatred, violence, and genocide. For those imprisoned there, liberation was not relief—it was the first breath after years of terror, starvation, forced labor, and unimaginable cruelty. Many were too sick to stand. Many were children who had never known safety. Many never lived to see that day at all.
As we reflect, we are reminded that the Holocaust was not only a moment of history—it was a systematic attempt to erase entire communities. Among the victims were Jews, Roma and Sinti people, political prisoners, people with disabilities, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and others targeted by hateful ideology. Families were torn apart.
Cultures were devastated. Generations were silenced.
We remember their humanity.
We honor their stories.
We grieve their loss.
At We Are The Others, remembrance is more than a day—it is a continued act of solidarity. It is a commitment to stand against antisemitism, bigotry, and all ideologies that seek to divide or dehumanize. It is the promise to ensure that “never again” is not just said, but lived.
We won’t forget.
We stand with hope.
We reaffirm our collective promise to protect human dignity—for all people, everywhere.
