**CONGRATULATIONS, CLASS T2-26!**

Another incredible group of Heroes has crossed the finish line!

We are so proud to congratulate our T2-26 Horsemanship for Heroes graduates. Over the past eight weeks, these Heroes showed up, put in the work, built relationships with their horses and one another, and proved just how much can happen when courage meets connection.

Graduation isn't just about completing a class. It represents trust earned, confidence built, challenges faced, and new skills discovered - all alongside a pretty remarkable group of horses!

To our graduates: We are incredibly proud of you! Thank you for trusting us, trusting your horses, and becoming part of the H4H family. This may be the end of T2-26, but it certainly isn't the end of your journey with us.

And to the instructors, volunteers, barn team, donors, and supporters who make it possible for us to provide these programs at no cost to our Heroes - thank you. Every graduation belongs to you, too.

🐴🚜 Growler is out at Western Nevada Materials’ Dozers & Dirt!

We’re having such a great time meeting all the kids and supporting an incredible cause benefiting the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation. 💛

This event is SO much fun - kids are getting the chance to climb aboard heavy equipment and even dig with excavators! Add in great food, vendors, activities, and lots of smiling faces, and it makes for a pretty amazing day.

Growler is soaking up all the attention and doing what our horses do best: making new friends. 🐴❤️

What a wonderful community event supporting such a special cause. We’re grateful that Horsemanship for Heroes gets to be a small part of it!

This afternoon, we had the privilege of hosting a very special visit from the VA Hospital’s Community Living Center.

One U.S. Navy Veteran and one U.S. Marine Corps Veteran left the comfort of their hospital rooms to spend some time with us - and with our horses.

We took our guests through the barn, stopping at each stall to introduce them to every member of our herd. There were plenty of questions, lots of smiles, and more than a little horse slobber as they handed out treats along the way.

At the end of the tour, I asked them a question we often ask our Heroes: “Which horse did you connect with the most?”

The Marine chose Carolans, saying he felt a connection with her sweet soul. The Navy Veteran chose Tango, drawn to his beautiful coloring and quiet, stoic demeanor.

But the moment that will stay with me happened as they were preparing to leave.

The Marine shared that he was a pastor and asked if he could place a blessing on our program. As he began to speak, his eyes filled with tears. He told us how important he believed this work was-and then offered the most beautiful blessing over our horses, our volunteers, our participants, and the work being done at Horsemanship for Heroes.

My eyes welled with tears, too.

There are moments in this work that remind us exactly why we are here. His words-and his blessing-are still making my heart feel warm tonight.

We hope this was only the first of many visits from our new friends at the Community Living Center.

These gentlemen gave so much in service to our country. Today, it was our honor and privilege to give a little something back to them.

The future is bright because of young hearts like Virginia's.

This Fourth of July, while many kids were enjoying the holiday, a remarkable young lady named Virginia and her friends had a different mission in mind. They set up a lemonade stand with one goal: to donate every penny they earned to help our nation's Veterans.

As fate would have it, the very last customer to stop by for a glass of lemonade worked at the VA and suggested that their donation be made to Horsemanship for Heroes.

A short time later, we received a notification on our donation platform...

$800.00.

We were absolutely blown away.

We invited Virginia and her family to the barn so we could thank her in person and show her exactly who she was helping. During her visit, she met our incredible herd, climbed into the saddle, and enjoyed a ride on our gentle Gypsy Vanner, Shahan. To commemorate the day, we proudly presented her with an official Horsemanship for Heroes ball cap.

Virginia, your kindness, compassion, and patriotism remind us that making a difference has nothing to do with age; it has everything to do with heart. Thank you to you and your amazing friends for believing in our mission and for helping us continue Helping Heroes Heal Through the Power of the Human-Horse Bond.

From a simple lemonade stand to an $800 gift that will directly impact the lives of veterans. It's exactly the kind of story that reminds us how one act of kindness can create an extraordinary ripple effect.

There are moments that remind us just how incredibly blessed we are… and today was one of them.

With only a couple of days’ notice, our amazing H4H Volunteer Herd showed up ready to work, laugh, and make a difference. Together, we stained the fence posts that will soon become our one-acre turnout pasture - a place where our horses will be able to roam, relax, and simply enjoy being horses.

The day was filled with smiles, laughter, white stain on faces, hands, clothes (and probably places we’ll discover tomorrow!), and the kind of camaraderie that is hard to put into words. It’s more than volunteering: it’s family.

A very special thank you to Dwight, Bob, Brett, and Rob, who didn’t call it a day when the staining was finished. They rolled right into tackling water hydrology challenges around the property and then took on the Herculean task of cleaning up the entire side of the barn, hauling years of broken and unwanted materials into the 40-yard dumpster that arrived yesterday. Your hard work has made an enormous difference and moved us one giant step closer to making our new home everything it can be.

To every volunteer who gave your time, your energy, your laughter, and your heart - thank you. Horsemanship for Heroes simply would not exist without you. You are building far more than fences; you’re building a place where veterans, emergency responders, and their families can heal through the power of the human-horse bond.

Our future is looking brighter every day… because of all of you.

Happy Birthday, America!

What an incredible way to begin our Independence Day!

This morning, Horsemanship for Heroes had the tremendous honor of serving as the Color Guard at the Nevada Veterans Memorial Plaza at Sparks Marina, proudly carrying our nation’s flag alongside the America 250 Anniversary Flag. We are deeply grateful for the invitation to be part of such a meaningful ceremony honoring those who have served our country.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our amazing H4H volunteers who showed up bright and early to support the event. From sharing our mission with community members to helping keep spectators safely clear of some very big horse feet, you represented Horsemanship for Heroes with professionalism, kindness, and servant hearts. We simply couldn’t do it without you.

Scott and Dwight did a phenomenal job aboard Shahan and Latte, carrying the colors with pride and dignity. We are so proud to represent our veteran community and to continue our mission of Helping Heroes Heal Through the Power of the Human-Horse Bond.

Celebrate Independence Day with Horsemanship for Heroes!

Start your Fourth of July with a little patriotism - and a lot of horse power!

Join us at the Sparks Marina Veterans Memorial at 8:00 a.m. as Horsemanship for Heroes proudly serves as the Mounted Color Guard for the Independence Day ceremony.

Scott and Dwight will be riding Shahan and Latte, carrying the United States Flag and the 250th Anniversary Flag as we honor our nation, our veterans, and all who have served.

It's going to be a warm holiday weekend, so this is the perfect opportunity to celebrate early before the heat of the day. We'd love to see our H4H family, friends, and supporters there to help us celebrate America's birthday!

Come cheer on our horses, our riders, and the incredible community that makes Helping Heroes Heal Through the Power of the Human-Horse Bond possible.
