May has arrived, but CCL Reno-Sparks is still celebrating a successful month of tabling for April 2026! We participated in Earth Day events at Idlewild Park, the University of Nevada Reno (UNR), and Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC)! Throughout these three events, we collected constituent letters to hand-deliver to the local offices of our Members of Congress.

Sending a huge thank you to all of the volunteers who took time out of their schedules to make these tabling events a success! Hope everyone had an uplifting Earth Month this year 🌎💚🌲

A moment of hope:
After decades of advocacy, 2024 saw the epic Klamath River dam removals restore free flow to a vast riparian landscape. Now, local Native American tribes have documented the first naturally hatched Chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha, the largest Pacific salmon species) in the Upper Klamath watershed in over a century, as wildlife continue their rapid resettlement of the liberated ecosystem.

Our fantastic team of volunteers has been busy this week! We delivered 45 constituent letters to the office of Senator Rosen, 35 constituent letters to Senator Cortez-Masto and 42 letters to Representative Amodei. We are always encouraging our Members of Congress to keep climate on the agenda! 🌎💚
