CARES is a statewide organization operated in many counties throughout the state of Georgia. Formed specifically to assist cancer patients with financial burdens that they may incur because of the disease. The Miss Georgia State CARES Scholarship Pageant is a fund raising program for this non-profit charitable organization. Raising money for our local CARES offices through the pageant system binds

us together as a community, providing love, hope, and support by allowing our CARES Queens to become outstanding ambassadors for this organization

The Miss Georgia State CARES Board of directors, hold preliminary pageants throughout the year, beginning in January, extending through May. Each pageant is open to all ages, young and old -Birth and up. During the preliminaries each girl must compete in the division they will be in at State in August 2015. The winning preliminary queens will automatically advance to the Miss Georgia CARES Scholarship Pageant, held each fall. BEAUTY Mandatory, includes Prettiest Hair, Prettiest Smile, and Prettiest Dress. (Fees paid by County Preliminary Director)

AWARDS:
Queen: Custom Crown, Custom Sash, Trophy, Othe Prizes, and awards. In the Teen and Miss Division, there will be a cash scholarship awarded at the end of their reign. Runners Up: 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th - Trophy
Optionals: Medal with Ribbon
Contestants not placing will receive a participation Trophy. The girl in each Division with the most votes wins a Tiara. Hospitality Queen: The contestant raising the most money over $500 per division in preliminary will advance to State. State fees will be paid by local director. INTERVIEW:
TEEN AND MISS will be the only groups doing interview. Interview time will be five (5) minutes for each girl. Interview will be 40% of score

Hair, makeup, and other vendors admission is $25 per person. You will have a designated area for your girls. Each contestant is judged on beauty, poise, personality and overall appearance. Optionals are judged at the end of each age division during group line up and will not be tallied into final score

Walk: Basic T Pattern - No PRO Modeling Allowed

Dressing Rooms are made available and marked for the age divisions allowed in room. There will be a photographer available for group and individual pictures. All contestants and parents agree by entering any preliminary that should they win a CARES division title, they will compete at the Miss Georgia State CARES pageant and attend all mandatory events listed on the preliminary application.
