As the new school year begins, ACLU of Delaware and Delaware State Education Association are working together to help districts understand Delaware HB 94 and the protections in place to help keep our students, families, and school communities safe. 💙📚

📚️ As the new school year begins, we’re urging every school district to have clear plans in place to protect students and staff if ICE agents arrive on school grounds.

ACLU-DE and our partners at Delaware State Education Association (DSEA) sent a letter to every superintendent across the state explaining how the newly passed HS 2 for HB 94 affects immigration enforcement at schools.

Every child deserves to go to school without fear. Delaware must continue doing everything it can to safeguard students, families, and their rights.

Nearly 7,000 educators. One shared purpose.

It was an honor to serve alongside an incredible team of Delaware delegates at the 105th National Education Association Representative Assembly in Denver, where we debated, voted, and helped set the direction of our 3 million-member union.

At a time when public education faces unprecedented challenges, we came together to organize, strengthen our collective voice, and reaffirm our commitment to our educators, our students, and our democracy.

Grateful to have served alongside such dedicated Delaware educators and proud to help ensure Delaware's voice was part of the conversation.
