Today was the day the day! I made my first big donation of stuffies from Addy's Brave Buddies to the surgery department at Southeast Health! This was a big day for me and it holds a lot of meaning for my mom and many of the people she works with.
Today is one year since Mrs. Patsy went to live in heaven, and this donation of Addy's Brave Buddies was made in her memory to honor her! Mrs. Patsy was the charge nurse in surgery and worked there for 51 years. I always loved coming to visit Mrs. Patsy at the Annual Surgery Christmas Party, she was always so sweet to me. She would even make goody bags for me and my brother on the holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas because those were her favorites!
I really miss seeing her when I visit, but I know she is watching over me and all of my surgery friends. I hope I am making her proud with this project, and helping other kids feel as special and loved as she always made me feel!

Our friend Emma had surgery this week and her mom sent us this picture of her with her "brave buddy" and gave us permission to post it! We are praying for Emma and hope she feels better soon!🩷

Another busy but fun day today! Made another trip to Muggleys Coffee Shop to empty my basket again. While I was there I met a new friend, Piper, that brought me a huge bag of stuffies! I'm always happy to make new friends, and I hope to run into her again when school starts back since we go to the same school!
After that we made a trip to the hospital to visit some of my mom's friends. Mr. John ordered so many stuffies to donate to Addy's Brave Buddies! We were also able to visit Mrs. Freda, his wife, who is recovering in the hospital. We were able to being her some flowers and a stuffy, because sometimes we all need a "Brave Buddy" to give us a little hope and happiness! My Mom worked with Mr. John and Mrs. Freda in surgery and said she learned so much from them, and they took great care of so many people! Please join my mom and I in praying for Mrs. Freda's healing and complete recovery. We have been praying for her every night and the more prayers the better, because I know God hears our prayers!🩷

I was so hot after riding in the Slocomb Tomato Festival parade today with Layla. I had to make a stop at my favorite place, Muggleys Coffee Shop to cool down! While I was there I emptied out my Brave Buddy Basket for the second time! My friends at Muggleys have been great at helping support my project! They are the BEST!🩷☕️

Yesterday was an exciting and busy day! I had Little Miss Peanut Orientation and started the day early getting ready with Mr. Eddie and my friends. It was so much fun, and I found out I will be contestant #37! That afternoon my mom got a message from a sweet work friend that she had a bag full of stuffies to donate, so I took my assistant Grayson with me to pick them up! Thank you to everyone that has been helping support Addy's Brave Buddies! We are almost ready to make our first donation and I'm so excited!🩷

A sweet friend of my mom sent her some money on Venmo to buy some Brave Buddies and I was able to go to the Dollar Tree in Rehobeth and get 4 big stuffies like this for only $5 each! They are so cute too and they had a lot to choose from! I can't wait to deliver these to my friends in surgery soon!💗

We’re back on the road to Birmingham! Tomorrow morning Karson’s treatment is at 8:45AM. This week will look a little different, it’ll be the first time they access his port in clinic. We do have the numbing cream (and yes, it helps!), but it’s definitely not magic. So we’re asking for some very specific prayers that Karson handles this part like the champ he is, and we know he will!

We’ll also be seeing Dr. Canavara, the oncology psychologist, and finally meeting our social worker in person. It’s an another full day!

Since the weekend, Karson’s been feeling a little more sluggish at times, with some pretty intense nausea and two really tough headaches. Please keep him close in your prayers, these little battles are tough, but he keeps showing up with strength and heart.

Karson recently asked how many followers his “fan page” has, and then said, “I bet I can get to 1,000!” Let’s make that happen before the weekend so I can tell him he did it! You can help by sharing this post and inviting friends to follow along.

Thank you to all my friends that have been sending me buddies! I have a whole basket full already! I can't wait to deliver these buddies to some brave kids that will be having surgery. I hope this will help comfort them and bring them joy! I hope to fill up another basket before I make a trip to the hospital, until then I will keep praying for them!🩷

Last week was Nurse Appreciation Week and I was able to take cupcakes to some of my favorite nurses that work in the surgery department at Southeast Health! They all work hard and take great care of all of their patients! Thanks for everything you do!💙

If you have stuffed animals you would like to donate, please drop them by and grab a cup of coffee, ice cream, or one of my favorites, their bagel bombs! We love Muggley's and all of the staff that work there, they are the sweetest!
