Calling all artists The City of Redondo Beach is seeking professional artists and artist teams to submit qualifications for future public art installations on Artesia Boulevard. Projects will vary in scale, medium, and location, including center median installations, monuments, artist-designed benches, a crosswalk, and a sculpture. Click the link in the bio for the RFQ, which outlines eligibility, selection process, application timeline and requirements, submittal information, and details for each location and installation. Submissions are accepted through March 30, 2026, so don’t miss this chance to beautify and enrich Artesia Blvd.

👏 Congratulations to the Jewel of Redondo Grand Prize winners, Don & Wilma Corsaro of 1108 S. Juanita Street!

Presented by Friends of Redondo Beach Arts, the Jewel of Redondo honors homes that bring joy to neighbors and enhance the beauty and character of our city. This year’s garden-focused entries showed that art truly lives in our homes and landscapes.

From honoring family history with salvaged red doors to lush gardens that echo the home’s architecture, the Corsaro home is a living work of art.

🥳 Honorable Mention to Jean Bonini of 2000 Marshallfield for her storybook English cottage and park-like garden—designed to bring calm, smiles, and community connection.

Thank you to member .kazachinsky.art for the beautiful watercolor portraits that captured these homes so perfectly.

She’s up!
Special thanks to Sarah Walsh for the support and excellent sailing knots.
Thousands are Sailing is 24 feet long and five feet tall. It is made of sail cloth and the mark-making is acrylic and sharpie. It is suspended in the gallery space with a cotton rope rigging from the ceiling and floor.
Situated in the west coastal gallery doorway, the sail catches the ocean breeze and undulates, filling and emptying the sail.
