NAMI San Bernardino received a $5,000 grant to promote Tardive Dyskinesia Awareness. We were invited with the 99 other affiliates who also received a grant to a private reception today at the NAMI National Convention in Atlanta which included speaker Carnie Wilson. Here she is speaking passionately about her families and her own challenges with mental health and TD.

Today’s the day. NAMICon 2026 begins.

We’re kicking off in Atlanta with a powerful opening focused on connection, community and caring — the heart of this year’s theme.

This morning, we hear from Blake Mycoskie, entrepreneur, philanthropist and founder of TOMS and We Are Enough, alongside NAMI CEO Dan Gillison, in a conversation about identity, pressure, purpose and what it really means to be enough.

Throughout the day, we’ll also see:
– A main stage conversation on Black men’s mental health and shared healing
– An inspiring plenary with Dr. Alfiee Breland-Noble on supporting youth mental health
– Community moments across NAMICon — from wellness spaces to connection points

And just as important — the moments in between: The conversations. The connections. The community.

If you’re here, share your experience using .

If you’re following along, we’ll be bringing you inside NAMICon all day.

Congratulations to CSUSB student Anita Mata from NAMI on Campus who received a scholarship to the NAMI National Convention in Atlanta this week. As treasurer of her club, she’s great student leader and our ED Lori Butler is grateful to her for guidance in identifying all the young celebrities who are speaking at the conference.
