WOULD YOU LIKE TO FILL A BASKET?
Twenty one years ago I began donating filled Easter baskets to Berks Women in Crisis. Many friends joined in as well as members of a local church and employees of several businesses. BWIC (now called SafeBerks) was thrilled to receive these baskets and distributed them at their annual Easter Egg Hunt. We even had filled baskets for the mothers! Each year, thanks to everyone’s support, this mission has grown and we have had the opportunity to support additional organizations by providing them with Easter baskets, too. Over the past 20 years we were able to donate thousands of filled baskets to many different organizations including BWIC, the Childcare Department of Opportunity House, Mary’s Shelter, The Children’s Home of Reading, One Luv Outreach and 2 inner city churches!
Of course we never run out of children in need and I am hoping that you will consider helping! I am seeking individuals, organizations and businesses interested in filling an Easter Basket for a less privileged child. This is a simple and rewarding project—something you can do with your own child, classroom, club, church congregation or friends at the office. I will provide the basket and complete instructions. What do you do? Just fill it with age appropriate gifts such as small toys, candy, school supplies or books and wrap it in cellophane or a cello bag, and return it to me. (You will be assigned a specific age group and boy or girl.)
Please consider preparing a basket. I encourage you to discuss this with your co-workers, employer, church, social organization, friends and relatives or share this message with anyone who may be interested in supporting this worthy cause.
Feel free to contact me at your convenience for more information or to reserve a basket or baskets. I may be reached at 484-325-0110 or via e-mail at [email protected]. Delivery can be arranged for orders of 20 or more baskets. Baskets should be returned no later than March 29.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Happy Easter!
