Someone shared this with me so I’m sharing it with you.

Wrestling does not build champions first.
It builds people.

Your child will lose matches they trained hard for.
They will feel embarrassment.
They will feel doubt.

And no one can fix it for them.
There is no bench to hide on.
No teammate to blame.
No referee to save them.

They must stand there alone.

Shake hands.

And accept the result.

That moment teaches responsibility faster than any lecture ever could.

Wrestling shows kids that effort matters.

But effort does not guarantee outcomes.

And learning how to live with that reality is one of the most important skills they will ever develop.

We will be having registration for the upcoming wrestling season tonight and tomorrow night from 5:30 to 6:30 PM at the fairgrounds exhibit hall. We decided to hold off on the parent meeting until we see what our numbers are for practices. Please stay tuned.
