Circle the wagons and round up the posse. The Santa Fe trail is coming back to Raton.. Ratons latest tourist attraction and unique camping experience has begun.. The first of the wagons have arrived at the Maverick hotel.

I recently made an innocent post about an exciting new company called Carbogenics USA coming into town..The link I posted on there gave the incorrect impression about what they were doing here in town. My apologies to all who were given the wrong impression and to all who have worked so hard to bring this exciting opportunity here to town. My deepest apologies to Carbogenics if this has caused them any grief around what was supposed to be exciting opportunities for Raton.

Help us help the city help you. Please take a moment to complete the survey about internet service in our community.

Good internet service can be a selling point to attract new people, new businesses, and bigger companies, resulting in a more robust economy.

Lackluster internet or no service or can be a huge detractor affecting quality of life AND turning off 'would be interested' site selectors. The city wants to know where these gaps are so they can resolve the issues ASAP.

So, take a minute or two to do the survey.

The City of Raton is asking residents to complete a quick 5-minute survey about home internet access, cost, reliability, devices, and technology access and training needs.

Whether your internet is fast, slow, too expensive, not available at your home, or you only use a cellphone — we want to hear from you!

Survey results will help the city:
Map where internet gaps remain
Strengthen future funding requests
Plan for future public Wi-Fi projects
Develop technology support resources

The survey is available in English and Spanish and is open through September 1.
