We’re so grateful for the generosity of our community and the many ways people show they care for children and families at Monument Health Children's.

Recently, our nurses received a donation of beautiful quilts made with care and thoughtfulness. It’s a great reminder that there are many ways to make a difference, and even a simple act of kindness can mean so much to someone.

Monument Health Foundation has fulfilled its $7.1 million philanthropic commitment to the Children’s Expansion at Monument Health Rapid City Hospital, completing a community fundraising effort that began in 2022.

Made possible by generous individuals, families, businesses and community partners throughout the region, the Foundation’s contribution will support a $48 million, 63,000-square-foot addition designed to transform care for mothers, newborns and children across western South Dakota and eastern Wyoming. Monument Health broke ground on the project July 23, with construction scheduled to continue from August 2026 through February 2028.
