We had our first event yesterday, and it was amaze balls… can non profits say “amazeballs”.. lol oops
& we finally got to meet all the ladies in person who tag us and spread the word about our organization, ladies we helped through social media, ladies who helped us via social media. It was such a great day we made so many new connections and have so many new partnerships coming together!
Thank you WDRI for giving us a space to share our resources with the community.
We were able to share our interview attire with another local organization focused on adult education.
Also, we stopped after and added some hygiene items to local boxes, and we signed up to get in contact with dolly partons imagination library so we can try to get it back in our area.

One of the worst things a community can experience is divide. People or organizations sometimes tend to get caught up in how they look or how much they’re doing that it can be forgotten what we are all actually trying to accomplish.

In the world in general… we achieve more together than we ever will apart. Trying to one up each other or outshine one another takes away from the common goal, which can’t be achieved alone. It’s impossible.

We accomplish very little alone but do much together. When one leg is weaker than another… collapse happens. For us we live in a rural community with very little. Time and time again we see people try to compete instead of trying to compliment.

There are so many gaps in our community that still need to be filled. Do your part and find your place. When it becomes competition over collaboration… the people in the community pay the ultimate price. This just hurts the people we are all trying to help.

There’s enough hate and divide in the world. Be the difference. When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will truly know peace.
