Orange season is in full swing, and our orange cats and kittens are finding their forever homes! 🧡

Victor and Franco, rescued and fostered by , were two of our longest-traveling passengers. They rode the Desert Catopia adoption bus all over SoCal, logging hundreds of miles along the way. After all those miles, they found their perfect family right here in the Coachella Valley.

Peanut and Butter, the absolutely adorable Manx-mix duo rescued by , only needed one quick trip to Idyllwild before a wonderful family from Indio swept them up.

And last, but certainly not least, Sunny. Our 12-years-young orange gentleman has officially gone from foster, to foster-to-adopt, to forever home. His adopter has been feeding him Purina Pro Plan LiveClear, which helps reduce the common cat allergen (Fel d 1), making it possible to enjoy all the fluffy orange cuddles without needing allergy shots. We'll share Sunny's full story, and the story of his brother Misty, very soon, but today we're simply celebrating that this incredible senior found exactly the home he deserved.

Our orange crew became adoptions #186– #190, and we couldn't be happier. Thank you to every foster, rescue partner, volunteer, and adopter who makes stories like these possible. 🧡🐾

July 3rd is going to be a special day for Desert Catopia.

We'll be joining Idy's First Friday at Mountain Paws Pet Boutique , and it also happens to mark one year since Desert Catopia Adoption Bus first hit the road.

A year later, the bus has helped over 120 cats find homes, introduced us to countless wonderful people and organizations, and somehow found its way back to this amazing mountain town.

To celebrate, we're bringing the bus with cats and kittens who are ready to graduate from foster care into forever homes. We'll also have our little Pet Library where you can browse books about cats, and our new hand screen-printed cards, also a few fun toys we've made for cats.

If you've never visited the bus, this is the perfect time. If you've been before, we'd love to see you again.

Come celebrate our first birthday with us, meet some wonderful cats, say hello, and enjoy one of our favorite evenings of the summer.

See you July 3rd at Mountain Paws, 4pm-8pm

Known as one of California’s most pet-friendly towns, Idyllwild is famously ruled by beloved Labrador mayor Mayor Max alongside his loyal dog and cat deputies. We couldn’t imagine a better mountain home for our adoptable cats, cozy pop-ups, and summer adventures.
