In order to better serve you all, we're making a big change.

Come find us over on Instagram: Instagram.com/MyChronicBrain

And read this post for information on this change, how it impacts you, and our goals for the future!

My Chronic Brain is run by a dedicated team of volunteers, almost all of whom have Chronic Migraine. In evaluating our work, we realized we just aren't able to give the content we provide here on Facebook the time and energy you deserve (because you deserve the best!).

Therefore we are consolidating our energy resources, and focusing on our Instagram account which allows us to present richer information to those within our community as well as our friends, family members, and others.

We will be leaving this account up, and posting occasionally to keep you all up to date on big events like when new editions drop! But won't be interacting daily (something we haven't been able to do for some time).

As social media evolves and our team grows, we will continue to evaluate the best ways to reach you with information that will help you live your exceptional lives with Chronic Migraine! So this isn't farewell, it's see you again.

Below we'll be leaving some amazing accounts that have information and support for Chronic Migraine patients here on Twitter.

We hope to see you over on Instagram soon!

Wishing you a low pain day,
The My Chronic Brain Team

“...I used to think that chronic illness took a part of my life, snatched my friendships, and poached my social life. Now I realize, what it gave me was a sense of self growth, educated me on how to be empathetic and kind to others, and to show compassion...” Alicia M ()

A bit of self care every day is best! On Sundays, we’ll be highlighting some ideas for ways that you can take care of you!

Today we’re starting with yoga. Definitely not a Chronic Migraine cure, but many of us have found relief by loosening joints, strengthening muscles, and learning to read our bodies better.

Here are three ways you can try yoga this week!

1. Do an unstructured session. Do what feels good! This could even be done lying in bed. Loosen those fingers, hands, and wrists.

2. Follow along with one of Emily Cordes’ sessions. You can find her at . Check out her videos for inspiration and movement flows over on Instagram!

3. Register for a (virtual!) group yoga session this coming week over with ! The session will be Thursday at 7:30p EST (a bit late for our friends in Great Britain, but that’s 11:30am Friday SEDT for Aussie friends on the east coast!)

Do you have some favorite self care practices? We’d love to hear about them below! We might even be able to share your ideas on future Sundays!

Hello. We just wanted to remind you to take a moment for you today. Grab a cup of your favorite tea (or are you a coffee person?). Feel the warmth of the cup in your hands. Notice the flavors as you sip. And remind yourself that you are strong, you are capable, and you are doing a great job.

Comorbidity: having two or more diseases at the same time

Or at least, that’s one definition! Join Beth Morton as she explores the concept of ‘comorbidity’ and how it impacts us as Chronic Migraine patients. Her article, “Chronic Migraine Companions: Tackling Treatment with Comorbidities” starts on page 6 of our current edition!
