CALLING ALL SILENT AUCTION DONORS!

The Catfish Classic Golf Tournament is teeing up for a great cause, and we’re looking for incredible items, experiences, and services to make this year’s silent auction one to remember!

Proceeds from the tournament benefit ALS United North Carolina, helping provide vital support and resources to individuals and families impacted by ALS while supporting the fight for better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.

Yesterday, former NFL star Chris Johnson shared the news that he has been diagnosed with ALS—a disease that changes lives in an instant and forever changes the lives of the families who walk alongside those diagnosed.

One quote from his interview on Good Morning America has stayed with us:

"At first, you're in shock. Then you realize you have two choices. You can give up, or you can fight. I chose to fight."

For anyone who has experienced ALS firsthand, those words ring painfully true. Every diagnosis is different. Every family's journey is different. But what remains the same is the incredible courage it takes to face this disease every single day.

Chris's decision to share his story shines a much-needed light on ALS and reminds us why continued awareness, research, and support are so important. While there have been advances in care and promising clinical trials, there is still no cure for ALS.

This is why the Catfish Classic Golf Tournament exists.
