💙💛 LIVING TO SERVE 💛💙

Today during North Carolina FFA’s annual State Leadership Conference, around 250 NC FFA Members worked with NC FFA Alumni to pack 38,488 meals in about 2 hours. Thanks to the State Day of Service grant from National FFA and Meals of Hope, this service project idea became a reality!

The meals packed will be distributed throughout Bladen County by New Light Church. We are very thankful for the partners in Bladen County and White Lake who helped our FFA members today: Amy Hudson (Elizabeth Town Chamber), Cameron McGill (Lake Church Pastor and Chairman of Bladen County Commissioners), Dowless Ludlum (Bladen Journal), and Bo Barefoot (White Lake Council Member).

NC FFA - thank you for your selfless enthusiasm and hard work today working together to give back to the community that embraces our organization as the home to our FFA Camp. You each truly demonstrated the last line of the FFA Motto: Living to Serve! 🤩

🌟July FFA Alumni Chapter Spotlight - Syngenta FFA Alumni & Supporters BRG🌟

The Syngenta FFA Alumni and Supporters Business Resource Group (BRG) is a unique, nontraditional alumni chapter that brings together Syngenta employees from across the United States in support of agricultural education and the National FFA Organization. The chapter received its official charter from the National FFA Organization on February 21, 2021, and today includes an estimated 229 members.

Unlike many traditional alumni chapters, Syngenta’s membership spans multiple states and includes individuals with diverse connections to FFA. While some members were active in FFA as students, others developed their passion for the organization through their careers at Syngenta or through their children’s and grandchildren’s involvement in agricultural education.

The Syngenta FFA Alumni & Supporters BRG supports FFA members and agricultural educators through financial contributions, volunteer service and industry expertise. One of the chapter’s most impactful efforts is leading employee engagement during Give FFA Day. Thanks to the generosity of Syngenta employees across the country, the company has been recognized as the highest corporate donor during Give FFA Day for three consecutive years.

In addition to national support efforts, members are actively involved in their local communities. In North Carolina, Syngenta employees volunteer as judges at the North Carolina FFA State Convention and help connect educators with industry experiences. The chapter has also hosted agricultural educators at Syngenta’s Greensboro site during the North Carolina FFA Mega Conference, providing tours and opportunities for teachers to learn more about current agricultural industry needs and trends.

The chapter encourages others interested in starting an alumni chapter to take the first step and seek guidance from established organizations. Early in its development, the Syngenta team connected with members of the John Deere FFA Alumni chapter for advice and inspiration. Today, Syngenta members are eager to share their own experiences and support other groups interested in forming alumni chapters.

Through volunteerism, philanthropy and a shared commitment to agricultural education, the Syngenta FFA Alumni & Supporters BRG continues to make a lasting impact on FFA members, teachers and communities in North Carolina and across the nation.

As one jacket comes off, another begins a new chapter! Congratulations to the 2025-2026 North Carolina FFA State Officer Team for their retirement from office last week and their new journey as FFA Alumni.

One of our favorite traditions is the opportunity for the North Carolina FFA Alumni and Supporters to present each retiring state officer with a blue blazer featuring the FFA emblem. As they remove their iconic blue corduroy jackets for the last time, they put on their new blue blazers - a symbol of their commitment to North Carolina FFA.

Their leadership, service and dedication have left a lasting impact on the thousands of FFA members across North Carolina. We are grateful for all they have given the association and are honored to welcome them to the NC FFA Alumni family.

Congratulations on a remarkable year of service! Thank you for leading with purpose and passion. We can't wait to see what your future holds as alumni members. 💙💛
