🌟April FFA Alumni Chapter Spotlight - Princeton FFA Alumni🌟
The Princeton FFA Alumni & Supporters chapter was officially chartered in January 2025 and currently includes approximately 45 members. The idea to establish an alumni chapter began in the spring of 2024, when initial meetings were held to develop bylaws and lay the foundation for the organization. From the beginning, the chapter received strong support from former students, parents, community members, and local farmers who were eager to see it succeed.
Our chapter takes pride in being more than just a fundraising organization—we strive to build a strong, dependable network of support for the Princeton FFA chapter. We recognize that support is not always financial. Alumni members have volunteered their time and expertise to help train poultry judging and agricultural sales teams, demonstrating the valuable role mentorship plays in student success. Additionally, some alumni have provided employment opportunities for FFA members, further strengthening the connection between education and industry.
As we complete our first full school year since being chartered, we are still discovering the most effective ways to serve and support the chapter. Last year, our initial goal was to organize and host the annual FFA banquet off campus. A dedicated banquet committee was formed and successfully managed every detail—from securing the venue and coordinating decorations to organizing the caterer and serving the meal. The committee went above and beyond by planning a silent auction featuring items donated by alumni members and local businesses. The event was a tremendous success and generated funds without any expense to the alumni chapter.
This year, we completed our first official fundraiser: a fresh chicken sale in partnership with House of Raeford Farms. Alumni members, FFA students, and advisors worked together to distribute preordered chicken to more than 100 supporters in just a few short hours. The collaboration showcased the strength of our network and the community’s continued support of agricultural education.
Currently, our focus is on building funds to enhance the animal science learning facility, specifically through improvements to penning and livestock resources. We are working closely with FFA advisors to identify priority projects in the livestock area and other areas of need within the chapter.
We are proud of the progress made in our first year and look forward to continued growth, service, and support of the Princeton FFA chapter in the years ahead.
