Katie Bryan restored her 1950s John Deere tractor, earning a spot among 12 finalists in the National Delo Tractor Restoration Competition.

💸GRANT OPPORTUNITIES FOR FFA ALUMNI CHAPTERS💸

The last deadline for the National FFA Alumni & Supporters grant applications for 2026 is Tuesday, September 1. Applications can be found and submitted through the FFA Alumni and Supporters Chapter Opportunities webpage here: https://www.ffa.org/alumni-and-supporters/chapter-opportunities/

🌱 Nutrien Ag Solutions Grant - This grant can be used to fund FFA student chapter affiliation fees, plant science-based educational opportunities, or to purchase necessary supplies and materials for local agricultural education programs. Each grant application can receive up to $5,000.

🚜 Tractor Supply Legacy Grants - There are three grants available. These grants can be used to create an FFA Alumni and Supporters Chapter, improve the quality of existing FFA Alumni and Supporters Chapters, or to provide more opportunities for partnerships between FFA Chapters and Alumni and Supporters Chapters.

Marshall Stewart is the new president of North Dakota State University. Before heading west, Marshall was a North Carolina FFA member, agriculture teacher, and the State FFA Advisor.

🌟August FFA Alumni Chapter Spotlight - Jordan FFA Alumni & Supporters🌟

The Jordan FFA Alumni & Supporters Chapter was rechartered in 2024 after the previous chapter had become inactive in the late 1990s. Today, the chapter has approximately 30 members, including parents, community members and former FFA members who are committed to supporting the Jordan FFA Chapter and its students.

The Alumni and Supporters Chapter has supported a variety of needs within the Jordan FFA Chapter through fundraising efforts, including Charleston Wraps, ticketing fundraisers at NC State football games, a Vertical Raise campaign and 50/50 raffles held during the Jordan FFA Market in early November. In addition to fundraising, the chapter has secured several community grants that have supported livestock projects on campus and funded needed improvements to Jordan High School’s greenhouse. They’ve supported students by paying for meals at the North Carolina FFA State Convention and by purchasing feed for steers being exhibited at the Central Piedmont Junior Livestock Show.

Looking ahead, the Jordan FFA Alumni and Supporters Chapter plans to expand its fundraising and community outreach efforts through events such as a community bingo night and family movie nights. These events will provide additional financial support for the FFA program while creating opportunities to engage more parents and community members with the chapter.

One of the most unique aspects of our Alumni and Supporters Chapter is that our current vice president, Becky Ayers, is a former agriculture teacher at Jordan High School. Becky recently earned her Honorary State FFA Degree at the 2026 North Carolina FFA State Convention for her decades of service supporting agriculture education.
