We'll be hosting an open house next week for the 2022/23 season. We're returning to on site meetings this year in a new location. Feel free to fill out the interest form on the WRAL site for more information.

WRAL Explorer Post 5 offers members the opportunity to learn all aspects of television broadcasting, from reporting and anchoring to producing newscasts and shooting local productions.

Go Team! Explorer Post 5 covered the Occoneechee Council Eagle Scout banquet in Raleigh on Saturday, January 26. Members shot footage, conducted interviews, wrote news copy, and delivered news content to WRAL News for the 11pm broadcast:

We won't be meeting this Thursday but here's something to consider. We're approaching the 50th Anniversary of Explorer Post 5. Here's a look back at the video created for the 20th Anniversary!

Good time at WRAL-TV tonight with Explorer Post 5... members were challenged to shoot a quick "stand up", talking about things they found interesting and fun in the WRAL Studios.

The prompt for this video, and others, was to find a cool spot in the WRAL-TV studios and talk about it. Fun and creative!
