On June 9, 31 members and guests gathered at Craft Public House in Cary for SI/Raleigh's year-end celebration. The evening recapped a standout year — we supported 2.5 times the number of women and girls this club year over last year, and welcomed three new members. Soroptimist International of Raleigh partnered with The Salvation Army Center of Hope The Salvation Army Center of Hope Shelter for Women and Children to provide three Dream It, Be It workshops for women staying at the family shelter this spring.

The Center of Hope program supports women and their children experiencing homelessness by helping families secure permanent housing while meeting immediate shelter needs. Through this partnership, Soroptimist members facilitated workshops designed to encourage personal growth, resilience, and planning for the future. Soroptimist International of Raleigh is proud to partner with organizations making a meaningful difference for women and girls in our community.

In collaboration with the Duke University Baldwin Scholars, Progress Period, the Duke Women’s Center, and WISER clubs, we helped collect period products for women and girls across the Raleigh-Durham area. Together, we donated over $600 in feminine hygiene products, which were then distributed through the North Carolina Diaper Bank to local schools.

We also hosted a Handbag Drive benefiting our community partner, Dress for Success Triangle. With the support of our members, we donated more than 35 handbags to help empower women entering or re-entering the workforce.
