The Nigerian independence celebration in North Carolina (NICNC), is an organization about a collective union of different Nigerian cultures into one setting to embrace the common ground shared by the love of one country. Although tribes may differ the celebration of independence remains to be a patriotic event. We would like to promote love, sharing and social enjoyment of each other, through brin

ging the diaspora of Nigeria (with welcome to other countries) to one place and help educate, support and expose the strength of this community by reconnecting the older generation with the new and continuing to teach the foundations and values of Nigeria through different social avenues. We seek to broaden perspectives and break stereotypes by inviting other cultures to participate in this celebration.
