Steve Noble on Trump (if you care to know):
1. I agree with the vast majority of what he has done and is doing, including his “America First” mindset and appeals to common sense…and I am deeply appreciative of that.
2. I’m uncomfortable most of the time with the way he communicates, especially his regular use of hyperbole and half-truths.
3. Most of the time I take him seriously but not literally…while the Left attacks both. Speaking of the Left…they are unhinged regarding Trump. It’s nutso 🤪
4. I pray for him regularly but not often enough.
5. I tend to trust his ability to play a longer game than what we see in the news, especially when it comes to deal making. He has access to way more information than the public does.
6. I’m concerned for his soul, but can’t say for sure whether the man has been born again or not. I don’t see much spiritual fruit…and I don’t conflate political fruit with spiritual fruit nor do I outright dismiss it. His own words on “getting into Heaven” were deeply saddening to me and portray a lack of Gospel understanding…and I hope it’s just that he doesn’t “get the lingo,” so to speak. He certainly doesn’t lack Gospel people around him, and I’m sure many have explained the Gospel in no uncertain terms, including a few I know personally. So…I remain concerned yet hopeful and prayerful.
7. I always consider the alternative - Kamala Harris and the Lunatic Far Left - and thank God that we don’t have to deal with that reality right now in the White House.
In the end…plenty of people are deeply disappointed in me regarding President Trump. Some because I voted for him three times and support much of his agenda…and others because they think I criticize him too much (or even at all).
I hear them, and mostly understand their positions, and those opinions oftentimes cause me to stop and ponder my own…which is healthy.
However…I rarely go off “half-cocked” on Trump or any other issue. I have been thinking, considering, researching, and engaging a wide variety of issues for the past 20 years, both privately and publicly. I’m not the brightest lamp on the street…but I’m no fool, either.
