For our Spring Service Project, we are honored to support the Military Women's Memorial through their “Adopt a Woman Veteran” initiative. Members will gather for a hands-on, classroom-style session to help research and preserve the stories of women who served by registering them in the national database. Each participant will receive a veteran profile, supporting materials, and access to a resource guide. Technical assistance will be available, and we encourage you to bring a laptop or tablet to complete your work during the session.

Congratulations to Micajah Bullock DAR Raleigh, NC Daughter, Allison, for winning first place in the 2025 American Heritage Contest with her needlepoint entry titled "Memorial Continental Hall." Drawing from the emotions of witnessing this historic building for the first time alongside her children, Allison blended inspiration from vintage postcards to create this 9x12-inch heirloom piece with over 18,000 meticulously placed stitches.

The American Heritage Committee was established to preserve our rich and diverse American heritage through artistic endeavors. The theme for the 2025 contest was the 120th anniversary of Memorial Continental Hall: "Memorial Continental Hall: Our Monument to the Patriots of the American Revolution."

Today, members of Micajah Bullock DAR Raleigh, NC joined other Daughters from North Carolina Society DAR District VI to welcome 31 new American citizens representing 19 countries at the North Carolina State Capitol. District VI Daughters assisted with voter registration and celebrated the new citizens and their families by providing cookies and water. It was an emotional and inspiring day as we celebrated the 249th anniversary of American independence!
