Ten Eighteen Uganda

Ten Eighteen Uganda Working with the poorest in Uganda since 2009. Our focus is on FOOD and EDUCATION, partnering with Ugandan NGOs.

DONATE TO OUR WATER CAMPAIGN HERE https://donorbox.org/donate-to-ten-eighteen-uganda Ten Eighteen is a US 501(c)3 nonprofit; we have been working in Uganda for over 12 years, partnering with local NGOs and community organizations. Our focus is on education, food security, and clean water/sanitation. During the 2020 lockdowns, Ten Eighteen Uganda, with Guardian Angel Foundation (Namuwongo slum), Ho

peland School (Mbarara), and the Arise Africa Babies Home (Bukaleba) provided over 150,000 meals to people whose lives and livelihoods were crushed. As the lockdowns lifted and the fallout from those months came into focus, we realized that teen pregnancies had skyrocketed. The Ross House, a halfway house for teen moms and other at-risk teen girls, opened its doors in November 2020. It also houses the offices for Guardian Angel, and hosts a plethora of Skills for Life classes, one-day health and skills training, literacy for children and youth, a small library, and a Saturday church service called Turning Point. In 2022, our focus remains on the work of the Ross House in Namuwong, Uganda's largest slum. Find out more on our website, here on Facebook, and Instagram! We’re back to the drawing board, strategizing how to deliver innovation through digital literacy and media production.

Digital skills have been one of our strongest pathways, delivering an 80% employment rate for our students. Today, our team met with young women and men to explore practical ways to scale the program, reach more learners, and strengthen outcomes.

We’re developing a new learning module focused on digital literacy and content monetisation, equipping young people with skills to create, tell their stories, and earn from the digital economy.

This is about more than skills—it’s about turning poverty into possibility, and helping young people not just survive, but thrive in a digital world.

We are deeply grateful to the Expat Money Forum community for your continued support of our literacy program.

Because of your generosity, we are empowering young women and at-risk teen girls who have never been to school with the life-changing skills of reading and writing.

Your support is opening doors, restoring confidence, and giving these girls a chance to dream again. Thank you for standing with us and believing in the power of education.

Ten Eighteen has worked in Uganda since 2009, helping women and children in slums and impoverished villages with literacy, health, and vocational skills. We're a registered 501c3, and 100% of your donations go to the work -- and you have time to get your donation in for 2025!

We are raising funds to bring a literacy program to the village where our Mikisa Farm is located. Most girls in this community either don't go to school or go for only a few years. By bringing Literacy first, and then adding vocational skills and STEM, we can help lift them and their families out of poverty.

GIVE TODAY for big impact! 💪

In many rural areas of Uganda, countless children grow up without access to basic literacy. Too many girls drop out of school long before they can read or write, and many boys end up turning to anti-social activities simply because they lack opportunity and guidance. We believe every child deserves....
