The Solace Center at InterAct is the only free-standing, community-based, sexual assault forensic exam center in Wake County.

We are grateful to UNC Health for its long-standing support ofthe Solace Center and our training program for Sexual Assault Nurse Exhaminers (SANEs). Solace Center provides forensic exams and access to wrap-around care for victims and survivors of sexual violence.

Since 2011, the Solace Center has provided expert, compassionate care at no cost to the survivor.

Survivors of domestic and sexual violence are often referred to InterAct for assistance when filing for legal protections from their abuser.

Let's do a quick recap of InterAct's community engagement activity for the month of June!🌻

→ Courtyards at O'Kelly Chapel hosted a donation drive. Donations included urgently needed pantry items and funds to support InterAct Services. (Picture 1)

→ InterAct staff were busy this month attending events like the Fuquay-Varina mental health resource fair sponsored by the Fuquay-Varina Police Department (Picture 2), a Community Connection event hosted by Holly Hill Hospital (Picture 3), and a community baby shower hosted by AmeriHealth

→ Coloring books, art supplies, and hygiene items were donated to InterAct by local supporters Linda Sheikh and Diana Boyce (Picture 4)
