🐾❤️ A HUGE THANK YOU TO Emma Speakman Solomon! ❤️🐾

We’re honored to share that The K9 Comeback Project received a donation from the Stewart Title Foundation through their Community Service Awards! 🎉

Thank you, Emma, for nominating us and helping shine a light on our mission!

As a new nonprofit, grants, awards, sponsorships, and donations are what allow us to keep saving and changing lives. Every dollar helps provide training, veterinary care, foster support, and everything our dogs need to go from shelter to service. 🐕❤️

And a reminder to our amazing supporters: If you hear about a grant, community award, corporate giving program, or donation opportunity, please think of K9 Comeback! Sometimes one nomination can make a tremendous difference.

From all the people and paws at K9 Comeback — THANK YOU! 🐾❤️

One nomination. Two lives changed.

🏡🐾 HARPER IS HOUSE HUNTING… AND SHE’S TAKING HER TIME. 🐾🏡

Harper has officially moved in with Executive Director Kristin and family (include two under two and three dogs) as her foster — and apparently, she has decided that finding her forever home is going to require some serious neighborhood research. 😂

You may spot Harper lounging around the neighborhood, casually surveying the properties, checking out the neighbors, and deciding which home meets her very high standards.

She’s basically running her own real estate tour. “Hmm… nice yard. Good neighborhood. But I’m not sure about the couch situation.” 😂

Harper is an incredibly sweet, smart, affectionate girl who loves people, enjoys sniffing and exploring, and is happiest in a calmer home where she can settle in and be someone’s devoted companion. She’s also good with children and other animals.

For now, she’s enjoying the chaos, while we search for the person who will make her say: “Yep. This is the one.” ❤️

Until then, Harper will continue her very important work of lounging, neighborhood reconnaissance, and waiting for her forever family to find her. 🐶🏡 Could that family be you?

📩 If you think Harper might be your girl, send us a message or visit K9Comeback.com to learn more about The K9 Comeback Project.

Sometimes the perfect home isn't found by searching… sometimes it finds you. 🐾❤️

🚨 I AM GROOT! 🚨

Everyone say hello to Groot, the newest member of The K9 Comeback Project! 🐾❤️

Groot is coming to us from Chesterfield, SC, where he has been waiting since May.

And, honestly…Groot wasn't supposed to be here.

Our Board made the responsible decision that we simply didn't have the funding to take on another dog. Then our Executive Director, Kristin, went a little…rogue. 😂

Something about Groot kept pulling her back. She couldn't stop thinking about him. Then one of our TWO amazing fosters (please don't judge our lack of fosters—we're still working on that networking thing! 😉) offered to take Groot so he wouldn't end up on the other side of the rainbow bridge.

So Kristin made the call:

Groot gets his chance.

Before you tell Kristin to take accountability for her decision, think about a time when you went against the grain and listened to that little voice telling you that you had to do something.

Sometimes that voice is where change begins. ❤️

Now we need your help to make sure Groot's second chance becomes a reality.

It costs approximately $6,200 per Emotional Support Dog to cover the care and specialized training needed to prepare them for their future.

🐾 Groot needs a village.

Help us cover his training and care. Help us prove Kristin's rogue decision was a good one. 😂 Most importantly, help us give Groot the future he almost didn't get.

Because at The K9 Comeback Project, we believe one donation can change two lives.

And if you help us cover Groot's costs, there's a pretty good chance our Board won't revoke Kristin's dog-selection privileges. 😂

Welcome to the K9 Comeback family, Groot. ❤️🐾

FOSTER HELP! Since we have not found a home for Harper yet, we are looking for someone to foster her while we keep searching! We are hoping that we find a home soon and this will be a short term foster. Please reach out if you are able to help us give her a temporary home. We are working hard to find her forever home, but it seems her journey is not quite over yet. We really appreciate all of the support for our program!
