Copies will be available during the Lamplighters Big Book Sale, and you can pick up a copy to see the many ways your book sale purchases contribute to programs, classes, and activities for all ages at Radford Public Library. If you've ever helped set up for the book sale, or worked a shift selling books, or cleaned up after the book sale ended - you're a devoted Lamplighter!

Guess what's coming soon from Lamplighters? Another BIG Book Sale! Please save the date for Friday, May 8, 2026 and Saturday, May 9, 2026 for the quarterly book sale in the RPL community room from 10-5 each day. Start saving your quarters now for Radford Public Library programs, because every purchase you make during the book sale goes toward funding a library program!

The Lamplighters book sale is happening now, Saturday, 3/7/26 in the Radford Public Library community room. There are still plenty of great books, audiobooks, DVDs, music CDs, puzzles, etc for you to shop! RPL is open 11-4 on Saturday but the book sale runs from 10-5 in the community room.

Lamplighter volunteers are setting up in preparation for the BIG BOOK SALE happening this Friday, March 6, 2026 and Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 10-5. Lamplighters are the BEST! We thank our Lamplighters for all of their hard work in arranging an organized and easily shoppable book sale. Funds from all book sale purchases are invested in Library programs and the Dolly Parton Imagination Library!

They work hard to prepare for the quarterly book sales that generate funds for Library programs and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library for our Radford Community! We hope you're saving up your quarters so that you can come shop the February book sale at Radford Public Library, hosted by Lamplighters, on the first full weekend in February! Cash and check are the only tenders accepted (sorry, no credit or debit cards can be accepted). Lamplighters organize the book sales in genres, so it's very easy and convenient to shop! There will be books, DVDs, audiobooks, and more! When you shop, you support a library program and make events for all ages possible!

Lamplighters provide Dolly Parton's Imagination Library (DPIL) to children in Radford! Any child living in Radford from birth up to age 5 years can be enrolled to receive DPIL books by mail for FREE each month! There are no eligibility requirements except for having an address in Radford and being under 5 years of age. Give the gift of early literacy this year and enroll your child at imaginationlibrary.com!

The BIG Lamplighters' Book Sale continues today, Saturday, 11/8/2025 until 5PM (with the library closing at 4 but the community room is open until 5). Stop in and shop the last book sale at Radford Public Library until 2026. It's a beautiful day to shop, and you're going to need some books to get you through the cold snap coming on Monday!
