Please enjoy the beautiful sounds of the Ivalas Quartet at Quogue Elementary School! In early February, the Ivalas Quartet visited the school to perform programs tailored for pre-K through 2nd grade and 3rd through 6th grade.

The Quartet taught the students about pitch and rhythm, and introduced them to major & minor scales and keys, using pieces by Haydn and Mendelsohn as examples.

In total, our outreach programs at Hampton Bays and Quogue reached 300 students! Thank you to the Ivalas Quartet—these talented musicians did a fantastic job of teaching the students.

🎼 Have you heard of “Soda Pop”? The Ivalas Quartet sure has, performing a classical rendition of this popular piece from K-Pop Demon Hunters to a delighted audience of elementary schoolers!

✨ During their visit to Hampton Bays Elementary School earlier this month, the Quartet ran programs for the kindergarten and 3rd grade classes, including a kindergarten program done entirely in Spanish!

🎻 The programs focused on the concepts of pitch and rhythm, including demonstrating rhythms by clapping along to Bizet’s “Carmen”. In total, our outreach at Hampton Bays and Quogue ✨🌟🌟✨✨🌟🌟reached 300 students! Thank you to the Ivalas Quartet—these talented musicians did a fantastic job of teaching the students.

September’s chamber music concert by the Ivalas Quartet was a marvelous performance! The ensemble played a variety of pieces and enjoyed some wonderful conversations with the audience.

Earlier this year, the Ivalas Quartet also delighted students at local elementary schools on Long Island through QCM’s outreach program. It was wonderful to have the Quartet's talent on the Quogue Community Hall stage!

Please join Quogue Chamber Music for a delightful evening of music with the talented Ivalas Quartet! The quartet will perform a thoughtfully curated program featuring works by Derrick Skye, Haydn, and Ravel that showcase the diversity of chamber music.

In July, concertgoers enjoyed quintets by Brahms and Dvořák as performed by members of the Manhattan Chamber Players. Co-sponsored by the Quogue Library and Quogue Chamber Music, the concert was moved indoors due to rain, though the string quintet's talent was certainly not dampened!
