Quincy K-9 Connection - Animals in Need of Rescue, Quincy, IL When shelters ask for help, we respond by networking and transporting animals-at-risk to safe places. We primarily release to licensed rescues.

(DISCLAIMER) Quincy K9 Connection does not adopt to individuals like many shelters do. We post dogs/cats for different shelters with the goal of saving each from being euthanized. We will transport 20+ dogs/cats from Quincy every Saturday to licensed foster-home based rescue groups mostly around Chicago. (DISCLAIMER) We do not typically answer questions via Facebook. n attached to the animal's picture and you should receive a response fairly quickly. Our volunteers who maintain this page work full time and are busy caring for animals when not working. They do not have tons of time to monitor the page for questions.

Urgency: VERY URGENT! These animals are located in a critical-capacity, rural shelter that euths for space.

Buddy and Taz lost everything when their owner passed away. Now these sweet dogs are trying to navigate a loud, unfamiliar world without the person they loved most. The shelter has been overwhelming for these two. They are anxious in the noise and confusion, but they remain gentle and kind. After a lifetime of love and loyalty, Buddy and Taz deserve a soft place to land and someone to help mend their broken hearts.

Mighty is an Italian greyhound/terrier mix who was found tied to a tree and left behind. Despite everything he has endured, this little guy's spirit remains gentle and loving. Mighty's age is difficult to determine because long-term malnutrition has affected his skin, teeth, and body condition. At just 21 pounds, he is painfully thin, though he should only be about 30 pounds. With proper nutrition and love, this sweet boy has every chance to blossom.

Jethro is a handsome 3-year-old Chocolate Lab mix looking for rescue. He is a young, active guy with the loyal and loving personality Labs are known for.

🤎 68 lbs
🤎 Chocolate coat with a white chest
🤎 Healthy and heartworm negative
🤎 Current on Rabies and Parvo/Distemper vaccines
🤎 Wormed and on flea/heartworm prevention

At 68 pounds, he's the perfect size for adventures, walks, playtime, and cuddling up with his people after a fun day.

He is fully vetted, healthy, and ready to start the next chapter of his life with a forever family.

Tex is still just a puppy learning how to trust the world. He is searching for a rescue placement who can help him find a new family!

💕 Was very shut down in the shelter but is now coming out of his shell

Tex went from overwhelmed and shut down to finally starting to show his playful side in a temporary foster home. He is still fragile, and that progress depends on getting him safely placed.

Right now, he is in a temporary foster and needs a rescue immediately.
